Last weekend, Sega and I took a trip to Oregon and Washington to visit some of our friends.
The visit to Oneonta Gorge was a first for us and it was as beautiful as we imagined!

Offices inside an abandoned power plant in rural Alabama.
This aircraft boneyard was pretty dreamy and so were the skies. This evening was a fortunate combination of golden light breaking through during a storm.
Icefields Parkway, just north of Banff National Park.
Another awesome car, sitting lonely in a Mojave Desert junkyard.
(Night. Full moon. 150 second exposure. Lit by moonlight and Streamlight Stinger)
It's always such a challenge to explore an entire junkyard and try to capture the most interesting and appealing elements.
Seeing how ice cream is one of my favorite things in life, there was no doubt I was going to stop to shoot this truck last night.
(Night. Supermoon. 180 seconds. Interior light painted with a Streamlight Stinger flashlight)
I'm hanging out in a hotel room in the the desert, staying cool while the world melts from the 100 degree temps outside.
I wish I could say I've been night shooting recently, but the last time I took my camera out beneath a moon was in March, when I shot an aircraft boneyard with the two guys (Mike Hows and Joe Reed) I'm shooting with tonight at a car junkyard.
I can't wait.
Aircraft boneyard, Arizona.
Boom hanging out at the Paint Pots in Kootenay National Park.
I was looking through my archives the other day and stumbled upon this image of Sutro Tower shot from the Marin Headlands on a beautiful, fog morning in 2013.
I haven't been out to the headlands to shoot the fog much since, but I definitely can remember how glorious this morning was.
This was the last location we explored during our trip to the Southern United States last May.
I was so ecstatic to find a mostly in-tact morgue with drawers and doors. I realize that may sound "crazy" to most people, but it's an artifact of these asylums/hospitals that is usually destroyed or full of graffiti.
Inside the Beaunit Rayon Factory power plant in Alabama on a stormy day.
Inside the beautifully green linen room of the Jones Building at Central State Hospital in Georgia.
This building was closed in 1979 after nearly 50 years of operation.
I have always heard that Arizona has some incredible sunsets and this evening definitely proved that theory to be true.
I photographed these two NAVY planes in an airplane boneyard outside of Tuscon, Arizona during a night photography taught by TakenPictures and Joe R. Reed.
Taken last March in Arizona during a night photography workshop with Mike Hows and Joe Reed.
(Night. Full Moon. Lit with LED Protomachines LED2)
