This medical building, on a former Georgia State Hospital campus, was constructed between 1928 - 1929 and named after the hospital's superintendent at the time. It closed in 1979 and has been abandoned since.

(Pano composed of 3 horizontal images shot with a 17mm tilt shift lens)
This power plant once powered a Rayon Factory in Alabama. Now abandoned, this power plant sits on land near new active and thriving businesses and a empty lot where the factory once stood.

This was an experiment of sorts, that came to fruition after finding an LED flower branch at a craft store.
Photo: "Lower Yosemite Falls"
This image, of Lower Yosemite Falls, was taken during my first visit to Yosemite, back in 2012, with a large group of Google+ photographers.
Tonight, I'm heading back to Yosemite National Park for the fourth or fifth time. I'm looking forward to getting outside, back in nature this weekend. It is also fantastic that it is almost a full moon, there's fresh snow in the valley and it's also 'Firefall' weekend.
Photo: "Crimson City"
I caught a gorgeous sunrise from the Marin Headlands last Friday.
When I woke at 5am, I expected to see the webcams covered in fog, but the fog had retreated during the middle of the night. I headed for the Headlands anyway, because I was in the mood for an adventure.
When I arrived, at least 10 other photographers were set-up and waiting for sunrise. As you can see, fog or not, it was still a beautiful morning.

Photo: "Bull Moose"
It's not often that I post images of critters, because it's rare that I get close enough to get a great shot with the equipment I have.
On this particular day in Wyoming, my Dad, brother and I were driving over a bridge into the town of Moose when we noticed a crowd of people standing on the bridge. We ran over to discover a bull moose, standing 10 feet below us, chilling and eating greens along the riverside. I had never seen a wild moose and seeing him that close in Moose, Wyoming was even better.
