Sunset at one of my favorite California beaches.
I sat here for hours, watching the waves, the birds and the clouds.

The Icelandic Churches are so lovely. They are small and intimate and scattered throughout the country.
I would like to point out the alternate name for this church, "Broken Filter Church." Sadly one of the filters for my tilt-shift dropped and broke here.

A dreamy day in Canada back in 2015.
The world could use a lot more beautiful things and a lot less violence and pain.
Lovely morning watching the sun rise from inside a former Alabama asylum.
During the first light of day, these walls told many stories. Though not always pleasant, the history here can only be explained by the paint on the walls and the breeze that blows in through an open window.
An incredible morning waking up on our boat inside the Reid Inlet in Glacier Bay National Park.
A thin layer of mist covered the glacier and we watched the glowing sun rise just after 5:00am.

Slithering beneath a rock
Soaring over tree tops
Floating through the seas.
Tread ever so lightly
Or this will all be just a memory.
Jökulsárlón, Iceland, 2017
You were magical
and you embraced my smile
for hours in the dim light
as I spun through the oceans
landing on your shores
gazing into those blue eyes

On my April trip to Banff, we awoke up to a few inches of snow, so we took a drive around the Vermillion Lakes and found one section of perfectly still water.
We spent our last night in the RV near Gullfoss. The winds that night reached about 40mph. We didn't shoot long because our fingertips and noses froze quickly, but we continued to shoot, while watching the aurora dance above us. This location was a bit of a challenge to photograph, but it was worth braving the temps.

This foundry utilized the Knight Wheel to use water to power the line shafts and belt drives.
At least pretend you're missing me
when you lie in bed at night
closing your eyes
and whispering secrets
to the moonlight bouncing off your lips
as you say forever.

Everyday
I close my eyes as I wake
and dream of a solitude
that this place creates.
With a single breath
in the back of my mind
you were there
a dancing flame
and the night was on fire.
